This policy explains how TruNrth Intelligence ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, and what rights you have. It is issued in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

2. What personal information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details you submit through our enquiry form or by email — typically your name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your message.
• Information you share with us during a project, including operational data needed to design and build a system for you.

Information collected automatically

• Standard server and security logs kept by our hosting provider, which may include IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps.
• We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary, with:

• Service providers (operators) who process information on our behalf under contract — for example our website host, email provider and accounting software.
• Professional advisers such as accountants or attorneys, where required.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

5. Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers host data outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we do so in accordance with section 72 of POPIA — that is, where the recipient is subject to laws or binding agreements that provide an adequate level of protection, or where you have consented, or where the transfer is necessary for the performance of a contract.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Enquiry correspondence is generally retained for up to 24 months; financial records are retained for at least five years as required by tax and companies legislation.

7. How we protect it

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures as required by section 19 of POPIA, including access control, encryption in transit, limiting access to those who need it, and keeping software up to date. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• be told what personal information we hold about you, and to request access to it;
• request that we correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained;
• object to processing on reasonable grounds;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• not be subject to direct marketing by unsolicited electronic communication without your consent; and
• complain to the Information Regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@trunrth.co.za. Requests for correction or deletion may be made on the Regulator's Form 2; access requests are dealt with under our PAIA Manual.

9. Complaints

Please raise any concern with us first — we would rather fix it. You may also complain directly to the Regulator using Form 5:
